Large UC San Diego Study Shows that Statin Drugs Lower Blood Pressure

Dr. Beatrice Golomb and a team of UC San Diego researchers have reported the first large, double-blind, randomized trial to show that statin drugs reduce blood pressure.

Beatrice Golomb, M.D., Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine. She directs the UC San Diego Statin Effects Study.The study report was published in Archives of Internal Medicine:
