Dr. Yang was raised in Swarthmore, PA and attended medical school in Philadelphia. While at Jefferson Medical College, she gained both clinical and research experience, and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. After medical school, she ventured out to the west coast for residency at UCSD, where her interest in pulmonary and critical care medicine started. She then pursued research projects investigating outcomes of rapid responses and inpatient cardiac arrests and plans to continue this during fellowship.
