The Division of Hematology/Oncology (http://med.ucsd.edu) in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Division is actively recruiting clinicians to build and expand our Sarcoma Disease Team, with focused interests in soft tissue and bone sarcomas.
The Sarcoma Oncology Program is located in the Moores Cancer Center, the only NCI designated cancer center in the region. It is multidisciplinary in nature and is one of the most rapidly growing cancer programs at UC San Diego.
The successful candidate will continue to help expand this robust program, with a commitment to excellence in patient care and participation in the educational activities of the Division.
Candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD, PhD, DO or equivalent. Candidates with an MD must be board certified/eligible in Medical Oncology and must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
Candidates with a national/international reputation, a track record of successful translational research leadership, as well as a track record of successful clinical trials leadership in the sarcoma field are preferred.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded. As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited.
