The Division of Endocrinology in the Department of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu/) at University of California, San Diego, is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body is actively recruiting candidate s with a strong commitment to teaching, clinical investigation, and program development/quality improvement.
The practice may entail inpatient coverage for some weekends and outpatient coverage for UCSD sites and its affiliated sites. The Division is seeking an endocrinologist with a strong interest in the care of patients with diabetes or other endocrine conditions in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend on the inpatient setting in La Jolla and/or Hillcrest hospitals as needed for Inpatient Diabetes and General Endocrinology Services
- Attend in the outpatient setting for general endocrinology and diabetes in La Jolla, Hillcrest, Encinitas, and/or various additional locations to be determined
- Teach Medical Students, Fellows and/or Residents while attending
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate must have a MD, MD/PhD. Candidates with an MD must be board eligible/certified in endocrinology and metabolism. Candidates with an MD must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
