The San Diego Center for AIDS Research (SD CFAR) International Pilot Grant program is designed to mentor and support new international investigators in HIV/AIDS research. Applications are now being accepted from emerging investigators who hold faculty-level appointments in one of seven focus countries. Priority is given to applications from Mexico and Mozambique. Applications from investigators based in Brazil, India, Kyrgyzstan, South Africa, and Ukraine are also considered.
Each international applicant must collaborate with a member of the SD CFAR. Collaborators provide assistance with preparing the proposal, and if funded, will guide the international investigator on the conduct and publication of the study.
Full details on applying for this opportunity are available on the SD CFAR website: https://cfar.ucsd.edu/en/grants/international-pilot/. You may download the application form and detailed instructions, confirm eligibility requirements, review funding timelines, access resources and potential collaborators, and more.
The due date for this round of proposals is Wednesday, April 1, at 5:00 pm Pacific Time. Please note we are only accepting these applications once in 2020 due to the National CFAR Meeting scheduled in San Diego in early November.
