Dr. Thomas Savides Speaking on Recent Advances in Endoscopy at This Week’s Grand Rounds

Dr. Thomas Savides, the founder and director of the Endoscopic Ultrasound Program at UC San Diego Health System, will speak on recent advances in endoscopy at this week’s session of Medicine Grand Rounds.

Thomas J. Savides, MD, is professor of clinical medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and executive vice chair of the Department of Medicine.

Earlier this year, he was named chief experience officer for UC San Diego Health System.

Dr. Thomas J. Savides Is Named Physician of the Year for 2008

The Medical Staff Executive Committee has honored Thomas J. Savides, MD, with the Physician of the Year Award for 2008.

Dr. Savides is Professor of Medicine, Clinical Services Chief, and Director of the Fellowship Training Program in the Division of Gastroenterology.

A leader in the field of endoscopic ultrasound and a respected expert in interventional gastrointestinal endoscopy, he is founder and director of the Endoscopic Ultrasound Program at UC San Diego Medical Center.
